Drawing without limits: the beauty of magical floating techniques

By admin

Magical floating drawings are a unique art form that captivates the imagination and challenges traditional notions of two-dimensional art. This style of drawing involves creating intricate designs that appear to float effortlessly above the paper, giving the illusion of three-dimensionality and depth. The technique behind magical floating drawings involves using shading, perspective, and negative space to give the illusion of objects floating in mid-air. Artists carefully manipulate these elements to create the perception of depth and weightlessness. By skillfully incorporating shadows and highlights, they blur the lines between reality and fantasy, leaving viewers wondering how the drawings defy the laws of gravity. One of the key aspects of magical floating drawings is the playfulness and whimsical nature of the artwork.

Disney on Ice Presents Let’s Celebrate in Bridgeport, CT

Disclaimer: I was invited to attend and review Disney on Ice Let’s Celebrate. All opinions expressed are my own.

Disney on Ice presents Let’s Celebrate is stopping by the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT from January 7-10, 2016. I got to take the whole family to the opening night of Disney on Ice and I have the inside scoop on the show. My whole family including my three kids (ages 4 and 1) loved the show. We’re a huge Disney loving family so there was a lot of excitement around seeing some of our favorite characters.

We plugged the address for the Webster Bank Arena (600 Main Street, Bridgeport) into the GPS and didn’t have too much trouble finding the place. There is a parking lot directly across the street from the arena with an officer directing traffic.

PARKING COST: Parking was $10

Even before you enter the arena people are trying to sell you light-up wands. When you finally make your way inside you are immediately hit with all the Disney memorabilia, food, and drinks. As you can imagine these items don’t come cheap, but it’s all part of the experience. Many of the snacks come in a souvenir cup or with a special bag or crown that you can only get at a show. My kids have been to a few shows before and they requested popcorn ($12 a bag!) before even going to the show.

TIP: Since outside food isn’t allowed at the show, plan ahead and eat before coming to keep costs down. I made sure to serve dinner before going to the show and allowed the kids to pick out one treat while we were there. Also prepare by bringing your own light-up toys from the dollar store.

Disney on Ice presents Let’s Celebrate features more than 50 of your favorite Disney characters as they make an ordinary day extraordinary. It’s a celebration of special days, holidays, and events from around the world to the tune of contemporary music and Disney classics – all while on skates! The show begins with a routine from the Disney princesses and their princes, Mickey and friends, Mad Hatter and other special characters.

Very Merry Unbirthday Party

Mickey and friends celebrated an unbirthday party for everyone. Everyone celebrated with a party hat except for Mickey. Mickey took the Mad Hatters party hat around and tossed it with his friends.

Magic Brooms

Mickey finally found a sorcerer hat once the party was over, but this wasn’t just any party hat, it was a magic hat. With the lights turned low, Mickey was able to make glowing magic brooms dance. There were even brooms that came down from the ceiling.

Halloween Haunt

The next scene was a spooky Halloween party with all of Disney’s villains. I expected little kids to be a little scared by this scene but looking around everyone seemed to be fine.

Valentine’s Day

Minnie and her fairy godmother talked about true love on Valentine’s Day. Princesses Jasmine, Snow White, Belle, Cinderella, Mulan, Tiana and all of their princes showed them what true love really looks like. Minnie realized that Mickey is her forever love.

There was a brief intermission that gave everyone enough time for a potty break or to refuel on their snacks. My kids got a kick out of watching the Zamboni clean the ice.

Hawaiian Luau

Mickey, Minnie and all of their friends partied at a Hawaiian luau complete with tiki torches and tropical shirts.

After Hawaii, Mickey and Minnie get separated from each other and spend the remainder of the trip searching the globe for one another. They visit Brazil’s Carnival, Japan during spring blossoms, China during the New Year where they find Mulan, New Orleans for Mardi Gras and bump into Princess Tiana.

Christmas

Mickey and Minnie are finally reunited during the most magical time of year, Christmas. Even Goofy dressed up as Santa.

The show concludes with a giant celebration with all the cast members of the show including the gang from Toy Story. I’m still trying to figure out how the dinosaur and pig skated on all-fours!

Everyone really had a great time at Disney on Ice Let’s Celebrate. I’m so thankful that I was able to take my kids. They’ve been talking about it ever since. I found the show to be really beautiful. The glitter and color of the costumes quickly grabbed our attention. I was especially fascinated that the characters were dancing and singing all while skating on the ice. As someone who can’t step foot on ice without falling, I appreciated how easy the actors made everything look.

If you’re interested in going to Disney on Ice while it’s in Connecticut there are still tickets. The show runs in Bridgeport at the Webster Bank Arena from January 7 – 10, 2016. Check out the Disney on Ice website for tickets. Tickets to select showings start at $15. Reviews for "Developing a personal style with magical floating techniques"

1. John - 2 stars
I found "Magical Floating Drawings" to be a disappointing experience. While the concept of floating drawings seemed interesting, the execution fell flat. The drawings appeared blurry and poorly defined, making it hard to appreciate the supposed magical quality. Additionally, the app was glitchy and crashed multiple times, ruining any enjoyment I might have had. Overall, I would not recommend this app to anyone looking for a truly magical experience.
2. Lisa - 1 star
I tried "Magical Floating Drawings" with high hopes, but was sorely let down. The drawings did float as promised, but the overall effect was underwhelming. The limited selection of drawings left much to be desired, and the animation felt choppy and unnatural. On top of that, the app was plagued with annoying ads that disrupted the flow of the experience. I was thoroughly unimpressed and regretted wasting my time on this app.
3. Alex - 3 stars
I had mixed feelings about "Magical Floating Drawings". While the concept was intriguing, the app fell short in several aspects. The floating drawings themselves were not as impressive as I had hoped, lacking the level of magic I anticipated. Furthermore, the app lacked variety in terms of drawing options, making the experience repetitive and monotonous after a while. Despite these shortcomings, I appreciated the smooth navigation and user-friendly interface of the app. However, I cannot fully recommend "Magical Floating Drawings" as it failed to live up to its potential.
