September 2021 Update: Not a whole lot has changed in regards to settings for Destiny 2. Bungie has always been incredibly proficient at creating beautiful, intuitive, and refined games meaning that you don’t have to really change anything. The only major changes we’ve seen recently are a slight update to Anti-Aliasing on PC and the ability to separate a charged and standard melee ability.
The latter has been a long sought-after update that allows you to separate your ability from a standard melee just by deselecting automatic melee in your settings. Then you can decide to map it to the same button as an extended press or choose a different keybind. Other than that, the setting best practices haven’t really changed, but be on the lookout for some major overhauls when The Witch Queen drops in February.
