Barbara holds an honors degree in English with a concentration in Celtic Studies. Her writing has appeared in The Philadelphia Inquirer and the Irish Edition, and she has worked in the book industry for more than twenty years.

1. Emily - 2 stars - I found "Mighty Anthony and the Magical Ring" to be quite disappointing. The story started off promising, with a young boy finding a magical ring that gave him incredible powers. However, the plot quickly became repetitive and predictable. The writing style was also lackluster, with too much telling and not enough showing. Overall, I felt like the potential of the story was wasted and it failed to capture my imagination.
2. Liam - 1 star - This book was simply not for me. I couldn't connect with the characters at all and found the dialogue to be forced and unnatural. The pacing was all over the place, with some scenes dragging on and others rushed through unnecessarily. Additionally, the world-building felt shallow and underdeveloped. I was really hoping for a captivating fantasy read, but "Mighty Anthony and the Magical Ring" fell flat for me.

The plot lacked depth and complexity, and the characters felt one-dimensional. The dialogue felt forced, and I struggled to stay engaged with the story. The writing style was also somewhat juvenile, making it difficult for me to fully immerse myself in the world the author was trying to create. Overall, I was left feeling underwhelmed by this book.
