I’m always skeptical of paid survey sites. Any app or website that touts “free rewards for things you do every day” seems a little sketchy to me.
So I didn’t expect to like InboxDollars. But after testing all of the app’s features and casually earning $8 in rewards my first week, I’m sold on the app’s legitimacy.

1. Jessica - 1 star - I was really disappointed with the Magic Receipts feature on InboxDollars. I signed up thinking it would be an easy way to earn some extra cash, but it turned out to be a waste of time. The app constantly crashed and didn't recognize many of my receipts, even when they were completely legible. Not to mention, the payouts for each receipt were extremely low. I ended up uninstalling the app after a week of frustration. Definitely not worth the effort.
2. Mike - 2 stars - I was excited to try out Magic Receipts on InboxDollars, but it didn't live up to my expectations. The process of scanning receipts was tedious and time-consuming. Oftentimes, the app couldn't read the receipts properly, resulting in rejected submissions. Even when my receipts were successfully scanned, the payouts were disappointingly low. It's a shame because the concept is great, but the execution needs a lot of improvement. I wouldn't recommend bothering with this feature.
3. Sarah - 2 stars - Magic Receipts on InboxDollars was a letdown for me. While I appreciate the idea of earning money by simply uploading receipts, the app made it more of a hassle than it was worth. It frequently had technical glitches and errors, making the scanning process frustrating and time-consuming. Additionally, the rewards for each receipt were quite meager, and it took a long time to accumulate enough to cash out. Overall, I found it to be more trouble than it was worth and wouldn't recommend it to others.
