Reviews for "From Sleight of Hand to Power of Sound: The Magic and Muscles of Dub"

1. Jane - 2 stars - I couldn't stand "Magic and Muscles" dub. The English voice acting was just so off. The characters' voices didn't match their personalities at all, and it completely ruined the immersion for me. The script adaptation was also poorly done, with awkward dialogue and forced humor that felt out of place. I found myself cringing through most of the episodes, and I couldn't enjoy the story because of it. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the dub and would not recommend it to anyone.
2. Mike - 1 star - I regret watching "Magic and Muscles" with the English dub. The voice actors sounded disinterested and didn't bring any emotion to their characters. The lip-syncing was terrible, with the words often not matching the characters' mouths. It felt like a lazy and rushed production, and it was a major distraction from the otherwise enjoyable anime. I would strongly advise watching it with the original Japanese audio instead.
3. Sarah - 3 stars - While I didn't hate the "Magic and Muscles" English dub, I found it to be mediocre at best. The voice acting lacked depth and sounded generic, making it difficult to connect with the characters. It felt like the voice actors weren't fully invested in their roles, resulting in a lackluster performance overall. While the dubbing quality has improved in recent years, this particular one fell short of my expectations. I would recommend giving the original Japanese version a try for a more authentic experience.
4. John - 2 stars - The English dub for "Magic and Muscles" was a disappointment. The voices didn't match the characters' appearances or personalities, and it felt like they were trying too hard to make the dialogue funny. The jokes often fell flat, and it was difficult to get immersed in the story because of it. The dubbing quality could have been much better, and I would have preferred to watch it with subtitles instead. Overall, I was let down by the dubbing choices, and it negatively affected my enjoyment of the anime.
