#ProPlantTips for Care:

For the best results, site White Shi-Shi™ October Magic® Camellia where it can soak up at least four hours of sunlight daily. They won't do well in standing water, so mound up if your soil isn't well-drained. Get your Camellias established in well-drained, slightly acidic soil with regular moisture access over the first season or two, and even beginner-level gardeners should have many years of success!

Tolerant of periodic drought only after the roots are established, give supplemental water the first season and during long periods of dry weather. Finally, apply a layer of pine bark mulch over the top of the root system but never directly touching the stems. Fertilize with a good Acid Lovers formula in early spring, following directions for application rates and reapplication schedule.

Prune your Camellias after they flower and keep their interior free of leaf debris and dead/broken stems. Apply deer repellent on the day you plant and reapply according to the label directions, if they regularly visit your yard. This will train deer to avoid this plant entirely!

Reviews for "Enhancing Your Garden with the October Magic White Shishi Camellia"

1. John - 2 stars
I was really disappointed with the October Magic White Shishi Camellia. Despite following all the recommended planting and care instructions, the plant failed to thrive in my garden. The flowers were sparse and lacked the vibrant white color that was advertised. Additionally, the plant seemed to be more susceptible to pests and diseases compared to other varieties of camellias that I have grown in the past. Overall, I would not recommend this particular camellia for those looking to add beauty to their gardens.
2. Lisa - 1 star
I had high hopes for the October Magic White Shishi Camellia, but it turned out to be a complete disappointment. The plant struggled to establish itself in my garden and despite several months of care, it never produced a single flower. I even consulted with a professional gardener who couldn't explain why the plant failed to thrive. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to having beautiful white blooms in my garden; unfortunately, this camellia did not deliver.
3. Michael - 2 stars
I found the October Magic White Shishi Camellia to be quite underwhelming. While the plant did produce some flowers, they were small and not as showy as I had expected. Additionally, the plant seemed to be quite finicky and required a lot of maintenance to keep it healthy. Even with regular watering and fertilizing, the camellia seemed to struggle and did not live up to its reputation as an easy-to-grow variety. I would not recommend this camellia to beginners or those looking for low-maintenance plants for their gardens.
4. Sarah - 2 stars
I planted the October Magic White Shishi Camellia in my garden, hoping for a beautiful addition of white blooms. However, I was disappointed with the overall performance of the plant. The flowers were not as abundant as I had hoped, and they did not have the striking white color that was promised. Furthermore, the plant required constant pruning to maintain its shape, which added to the overall maintenance requirements. I have grown other camellias in the past with much better results, so I would not recommend this particular variety.
