Talaans can also be seen in business establishments, where they are used to record sales, inventory, and financial transactions.

Tala-Talaan: Documenting the Giant Lantern Festival of San Fernando
The Giant Lantern making tradition is one of the outstanding cultural practices of San Fernando, Pampanga. Its historical development from a small church activity into a festival reflects the character and sensibilities of the local community while the design and construction milestones mirror the economic and industrial prosperity of the city. One of the major challenges of any intangible cultural heritage element is the conscious effort to preserve and transmit the tradition to the younger generations. This study focused on addressing that challenge by developing a safeguarding plan. This plan is composed of policies and programs that focus on conservation and sustainable development, designed to uphold the tradition’s cultural significance.

He is a faculty member of the Advertising arts program at UST- College of Fine Arts and Design. I found "What is the talaan about" to be quite confusing and convoluted. The plot jumped around a lot and it was difficult to keep track of what was happening. The characters were also underdeveloped and lacked depth. Additionally, the writing style was a bit amateurish, with clunky dialogue and awkward sentences. Overall, I was disappointed with this book and wouldn't recommend it to others.

I really couldn't get into "What is the talaan about". I found it to be incredibly slow-paced and lacking any real excitement.
