Just watched the video. nice idea but I wouldn't show the inside. just turn it upside down. It's really obvious that the "bottom" is 3/4 of the way up the inside of the box.

I caught that as well. I would think that it would have to be held close to a mike on stage to hear the popping sound. Hope someone can give us a review.

I create this trick a few years ago and have been playing with this trick for a long time. I can assure nobody will point the depth of the box, it never happen to me once in hundreds of performances. The audience don't know what is coming and it is so overwhelmed by the effect and the sound that you always pull great reactions and smiles from them, no questions about it. And if you are performing for kids you will be the king of the party. Its amazing how they relate to popcorn, how much they love it and how cool they think you are by being able to appear it with magic.

Fantastic: The sound comes from a sound module inside of the box. If you are performing on stage, yes you have to put the box close to your mic to be able to hear it. If you are performing parlor magic, the sound of the box will be easily hear by everybody, even if they are talking. You just have to be in a room al the sound will propagate. Be aware that high ceilings kills the eco and sound so, if you are in a hotel under high ceilings, then use the mic or you can always have a sound effect ready to play in your sound system at the time of performance.

Well I just ordered this so I will report on it when I get it. Seems like a nice effect for shows although I might actually try it in a bar or resturant walk around gig (after all I might get hungry walking around). I assume, George, in turning this upside down you can't shake it or everything might fall out? We'll see.

I just ordered it as well. I plan on using it during an upcoming stage gig in early November. It seems to me to be a fast opening effect. Will keep you informed as well.

Answering your question Tennispro: Yes, you can turn it upside down and shake it if you will, but you want to make sure that the compartment inside is full of popcorn and well compress, no kernels with them so it is quiet and it doesn't sound. In order to do that you just have to hold the box and apply pressure and the flap will not go down.

Any more reviews? Does it come with any eletronic device? Is it easy to change the battery for the sound device?

Yes, it comes with an electronic sound module, so when you push the button you generate the real popcorn sound from inside of the box.

Battery have to be replaced after a 1000 hits, so unless you perform it more than a 1000 times you will never runout of battery. Anyway, we offer a replacement service in case that happen.

You can clean it with a humidified soft cloth, since it all the interior is recovered with plastic. Howevere I suggest you to use normal popcorn for the trick instead of the buttered popcorn, that will leave more grease in the interior.

My friend show me this one,the idea is awasome, but I regret have to say the gimmick is very difficult to operate.

I've used mine several times, it is a cute effect. The sound of the popcorn 'popping' is a little bit low but putting it near a mike cures that problem. I have no problems working it at all, it is very visual.

I normally do not give reviews but I received mine and I have to say I am very disappointed in it. The gimmicks are very hard to work and while I don't want to give away secrets here, let us just say I am afraid the gimmicks will break after just a short time of use.

Bottom line and this is for me personally as others may feel differently. I will probably end up not using it and do not think it is particularly well-made.
