Sesame Street: Magical Halloween Adventure is a special episode of the beloved children's television show Sesame Street. Theodora angrily shoots a fireball at the balloon, sending it and the gold crashing down in flames. Glinda mourns Oscar's apparent demise, and prepares to die. Suddenly, a booming voice echoes throughout the city and Oscar's ghostly face appears in a plume of smoke. He says that his death was necessary to become the true, immortal and all-powerful, Wizard of Oz. Evanora and Theodora try to attack Oz's ghostly facade, but they do nothing, and then the Wizard begins to attack the sisters with fireworks, which are foreign to Oz. Secretly, Oscar, Knuck, Finley and the Master Tinker sit huddled in a nearby caravan, projecting a moving image onto the black smoke, putting on a spectacular illusion, with the Munchkins outside and inside the city supplying the fireworks. With the Wicked Witches distracted, China Girl sneaks Glinda her wand and manages to break her free.
Upon finding Glinda gone, the townspeople turning on her, and a rain of fireworks, Evanora panics and runs into the castle, leaving Theodora to deal with Oz by herself. Secretly, Oscar, Knuck, Finley and the Master Tinker sit huddled in a nearby caravan, projecting a moving image onto the black smoke, putting on a spectacular illusion, with the Munchkins outside and inside the city supplying the fireworks.
As they journey through Sesame Street, the gang encounters various challenges and magical moments. They meet up with Oscar the Grouch, who provides them with a mysterious clue to solve a riddle. Elmo, Zoe, and Grover bravely face their fears and overcome obstacles along the way.
Which Witch is which?
Glinda – Glinda is a good witch who rules over a peaceful kingdom of simple, kind folk. Beautiful Glinda is not only a compassionate and benevolent witch, but also a fierce protector of her people. Though Glinda sees through Oz’s facade early on, she knows genuine goodness lies within and helps Oz achieve his true destiny.
Evanora – A witch to be feared, Evanora is Theodora’s over-protective sister. With her penetrating gaze, she exudes a powerful presence and has positioned herself as the royal advisor and protector of Emerald City.
Theodora – Theodora is a beautiful, naive witch who is protected by her powerful sister Evanora. Theodora only wants peace to come to the Land of Oz and truly believes that a prophesied wizard will arrive someday to restore order.
Then there is a silhouette of a witch in the fire. Who could this be? We’ll have to wait until March 8, 2013, when the film is released, to find out.
Upon reaching the castle, they find themselves in the midst of a Halloween party hosted by Count Von Count. They are joined by other familiar Sesame Street characters like Cookie Monster and Bert and Ernie.
