Britain's Got Talent viewers 'work out' who The Witch is after 'terrifying' performance

Britain's Got Talent viewers have shared their thoughts on who they think is behind The Witch's facial prosthetics.

Scaring the living daylights out of judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams, the contestant - who simply referred to themselves as 'The Witch' - made their way down to where the judges were sat as Simon looked petrified.

They then proceeded to hand out apples to David, Alesha and lastly Amanda as they continued to recite a creepy chant.

Eventually Amanda had two apples in her hand and, as The Witch's terrifying third arm came out of their body and smashed one of the apples up, maggots and cockroaches scattered the judge's desk, sparking Alesha to jump out of her seat.

"no why does the witch actually look like Ant?" someone else suggested.

Eagle-Eyed BGT Viewers ‘Expose’ Witch By Spotting Identity After Creepy Stunt

Britain's Got Talent act 'The Witch' left viewers and judges horrified and impressed in equal measure after they performed a spectacular magic trick this weekend.

Suddenly appearing on stage, The Witch offered judges David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden a bite from a selection of apples, only to reveal at the end that the one they didn't bite was full of real life creepy crawlies before disappearing in a puff of smoke.

The act was good enough to get set through to the next round of the nationwide talent show, but viewers have been left scratching their heads as to just who is behind the gruesome mask of The Witch.

The real identity of The Witch is meant to be a secret considering they are wearing a scary mask and putting on a creepy voice, or at least we hope they are.

Now, according to the Daily Mirror, some eagle-eyed BGT viewers think they have been able to expose the identity of The Witch after their impressively creepy stunt.

BGT viewers took to Twitter to pose theories about just who lay beneath the mask of The Witch, and one popular suggestion was that it was one of presenting duo Ant or Dec under there.

Loving the theory that the Witch on #BGT was Ant and Dec in disguise.

Some viewers thought The Witch looked like one of the duo's undercover disguises from their popular pranks played on fellow celebrities and the public.

However, fans weren't sure which one of the two would be behind the mask, with one writing that the Witch looked like 'Dec in disguise' while another said they 'looked like Ant on an undercover'.

That would have to involve some clever camera trickery as at one point during the act the camera cuts off to the side stage to get a reaction from Ant and Dec, though misdirecting the audience is a key part of any good magic act.

The Witch is not the first BGT contestant to hide their identity and bring the judges in as part of their act.

The witch on @BGT is definitely @antanddec dressed up!! Tell me I’m wrong!

Another recent entrant known as 'The Phantom' performed an act where they appeared not to be on stage at all, but managed to play tricks on stage and reveal they went backstage and stole David Walliams' house keys.

Luckily the theft was all part of the act and they were returned once the trick was done.

While viewers can guess at the identity of The Witch, it is likely we will just have to wait until they get further into the competition to learn more clues as to who is really behind the mask.

ITV Britain's Got Talent fans have finally rumbled who the terrifying Witch is. Fans have worked out the contestant's identity after spotting a clue in last night's ITV spin off.

ITV aired BGT the Ultimate Magician on Sunday evening, with fans speculating over who the Witch is after the contestant left Amanda Holden screaming and shrieking once again. And fans are convinced he is none other than Stephen Mulhern.

Mulhern stepped in to host instead of Ant and Dec last night, and he interviewed all the contestants - except the Witch, bizarrely. Fans reckon this was a clue Mulhern himself is the creepy character.

Stephen has previously teased viewers by posting a snap of The Witch, alongside photos of him getting his make-up done by make-up artist Lisa Armstrong. He wrote: “Everyone keeps asking if I’m The Witch from BGT! Well, you might want to ask Lisa Armstrong what I look like before she put make-up on me!”

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "SPOILER: Stephen Mulhern is the witch character on #BGT." Another tweeted: "The Witch I am guessing is Stephen Mulhern." On the latest edition of the show, The Witch returns to haunt the judges.

Dressed in black ragged clothing, the performer makes Alesha Dixon read from a storybook and as she tells the tale he reveals items hidden underneath boxes including a dish of maggot-infested fruit, a jack-in-the-box and a teddy bear.

The magician asks Penn Jillette what word he has in his mind to which he says "chaos", which Dixon also reads from the storybook before confetti rains like snow from the sky. As the performer pulls out a snake from the teddy bear, Holden can be seen running off the stage screaming "I hate snakes".

Britain's Got Talent: The Ultimate Magician aired on December 18 at 8pm on ITV1 and is now available to catch up with via the ITV X platform.

Britain’s Got Talent viewers demand apology from judges after they ‘ruined’ Witch’s act

The Witch, a mysterious performer whose identity is yet to be revealed, upped the ante last night and asked the judges to state what frightens them the most.

‘I have the power to conjure your deepest, darkest fear,’ they began.

The act asked judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden to ‘reach into the box and take what’s inside’.

While the act left Amanda running away screaming, after a live rat was brought out, viewers were fuming and are demanding an apology after their ‘ignorant’ behaviour.

Throughout the performance, David could be heard heckling and making jokes while The Witch was waiting for other judges to answer their questions.

David, wasn’t the only one, as Simon was also heard trying to make jokes out of the spine-tingling performance.

When Simon was asked to write down his biggest fear, David commented: ‘Losing the phone number of my plastic surgeon.’

And when the roles were reversed, Simon quipped: ‘David Walliams just signed a 10 year BGT contract.’

When it was Alesha’s turn, David shouted: ‘Reforming Misteeq!’

Viewers were not impressed by the behavior, slamming the judges for ‘ruining’ the performance.

It was as scary as ever! (Picture: Dymond/Thames/REX/Shutterstock) Viewers are now calling on the judges to apologise (Picture: Amanda Holden/Instagram)

One wrote: ‘The Witches act on #BritainsGotTalent was ruined by the judges making it all about them with constant jokes whilst the Witch was trying to do their thing; ruined the momentum and took away the scary edge.’

Another penned: ‘I’m sorry but the Audacity of the judges tonight during #TheWitches#BGT#BritainsGotTalent Absolutely ruined that act they did. The Witches need to be bought back and re-do another act to make up for what the judges ruined.’

Others called on the judges to apologise, with one sharing: ‘There BETTER be a wild card or judges choice and it BETTER be the witches as an apology from the show for ruining their act.’

‘Witches act ruined the whole point is so it’s scary not suppose to be laughing you could see it was getting tired she/him should get an apology,’ another wrote.

During the act, Amanda, who was visibly scared when it was her turn, reluctantly agreed to reach inside the box and pulled out a piece of paper which had the word ‘rodents’ written in bold.

‘It was the most terrifying thing that’s happened to me in 16 years’, Amanda said (Picture: Dymond/Thames/REX/Shutterstock)

It didn’t take long before Alesha and Amanda figured out what was going to happen next, as Amanda yelled: ‘Is there a rat in there?’

Once the lid was lifted, a rat was seen on the panel and that was enough for Amanda and Alesha to run from their seats.

Reviews for "A Day in the Life of Charmed Witch Punie Chan: Tending to Her Vegetable Garden"

- Emily - 1/5 stars - I was really disappointed with "Charmed witch punie chan vegetables". The plot was confusing and all over the place, and the characters lacked depth. It felt like the show was trying too hard to be quirky and funny, but it just fell flat for me. I couldn't connect with any of the characters and I found myself getting bored halfway through each episode. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this show to anyone.
- Mike - 2/5 stars - "Charmed witch punie chan vegetables" had an interesting concept, but it failed to deliver. The writing was weak and the dialogue felt forced. The main character was unlikable and I found myself cringing at her attempts to be funny. The special effects were subpar and the overall production quality was lacking. I was hoping for a supernatural show with depth, but instead I got a poorly executed mess. I wouldn't waste my time with this one.
