The magic quilt
Today we had a couple of little friends over. Every week I swap kids with a friend while we take turns helping in our older kids’ elementary school. It has been so fun to be involved on a regular basis with my kids’s school without stressing about finding a babysitter or taking younger kids with me.
Anyway, today was our turn to host. After the first hour of letting kids watch ‘Word World’ while I finished folding laundry and sorting socks, it was time to turn off the TV and get them doing something else. Nothing sounded appealing and they weren’t going for any of my suggestions. We even got out the pop corn popper and made a big bowl of popcorn, but after that was done, the natives were still restless.
Then I spread a quilt on the floor.
That did it. The quilt instantly became a raft and was promptly loaded with helpful things like cash registers and toy drills for their journey. And they all played happily uninterrupted for a whopping 25 minutes. (Which felt like a lovely long length of time while I got all that laundry put away.)
Then we played “Shark Attack” while we vacuumed up the popcorn. Success.

1. Alex - 2 stars - Phenderix Magical Reloaded was a huge letdown for me. The mod promised so much with its vast array of new spells and magical abilities, but the execution fell flat. Many of the spells were either overpowered or underwhelming, and they didn't blend well with the existing spell mechanics in the game. Additionally, the mod caused frequent crashes and conflicts with other mods, making my gaming experience frustrating and unstable. Overall, I was disappointed with Phenderix Magical Reloaded and would not recommend it to other players.
2. Sarah - 1 star - I regret installing Phenderix Magical Reloaded. The mod completely disrupted the balance of the game and made it feel more like a cheat than an immersive experience. The new spells were far too strong and made combat encounters way too easy. Furthermore, the mod seemed to introduce a lot of bugs and glitches, causing my game to crash repeatedly. It was clear that the mod was not well tested or properly integrated into the game. I uninstalled it after only a few hours of gameplay and would not recommend it to anyone who values a balanced and stable gaming experience.
3. Mike - 2 stars - Phenderix Magical Reloaded seemed like a promising mod with its impressive range of new spells and magical features. However, I quickly realized that the mod was poorly balanced and unpolished. Many of the spells were overpowered, making combat encounters feel trivial and unchallenging. Additionally, there were numerous compatibility issues with other mods I had installed, leading to frequent crashes and frustrating gameplay experiences. Despite the potential, Phenderix Magical Reloaded fails to deliver on its promises and I would not recommend it to others. It needs a lot of improvement and bug fixes to be truly enjoyable.
