Hoffman, who calls the book my baby, knew the story of the Owens would belong to the screenwriters and the director and the actors once they took over but she knew her pages were in good hands. Their elderly aunts almost seemed to encourage the whispers of witchery, with their musty house and their exotic concoctions and their crowd of black cats.

The mentor figure in the story is none other than Severus Snape, the complex and mysterious professor of Potions at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In Akabur's interpretation, Snape takes on the role of Hermione's mentor and guides her through various challenges and lessons to help her harness her full potential as a witch. Throughout the game, players can witness the unique dynamics between Hermione and Snape.
