Depuis que le jeu est paru sans les traditionnels codes pour tricher, il faut les activer par des manipulations dans les scriptes du jeu. De ma connaissance et un grand nombre de tests; les commandes découvertes peuvent fonctionner comme l'on souhaite.
Il va sans dire qu'elles ne s'utilisent qu'en mode de jeu solitaire, elles permettes d'explorer les mechanique de jeu, se divertir et aider des joueur avant qu'elles ne soit frustées par HOMM. Elles ne peuvent pas être utilisées pour gagner en mode multijoueurs, à moins que tous les joueurs soient mis au courant et soient d'accord. Pour que le fair-play des joueurs soient respecté, veuillez agir honorablement.
Note: pour raison de l'honnêteté en multijoueurs, la version 1.2 du jeu (et sûrement les prochaines) a désactiver tout les codes qui ne sont PAS des commandes commençant par @ (les commandes @ ne fonctionnent plus en multijoueurs, mais marche toujours en solo). Donc, à moins que votre version du jeu soit précedente à la version 1.2 beaucoup de ces codes ne fonctionneront plus. Cependant, il y a un équivalent aux @ pour toutes les commandes ne fonctionnant plus.
