The Magic 5 is based on technology of the highest order to provide swimmers with custom-fit goggles right in their homes. Customers can simply download an integrated Magic 5 application to scan their faces. The process is the same as taking a selfie. The tech application then creates a custom-fit goggle design that is as per your facial dimensions.
The Magic 5dumps the ‘one-size fits all methodology’ with a more realistic ‘one-size should fit only one’ methodology. The Magic 5 started operations back in 2017 when they had successful funding of over $100,000 from Kickstarter.
They have come a lot over the years to open their own production facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. The production facility is capable of delivering goggles within five days of the user first scanning their app.
Rasmus and Bo made an entry into Shark Tank, looking for almost $500,000 in equity. In return, they were willing to offer a 2.5 percent share in the business.
Both nephew and uncle went on to explain the particulars of the goggles and how they work to achieve conventional results with a twist. The end objective for all three partners is to provide all swimmers with custom-fit swimming goggles within their homes.

Bo tells the Sharks that the goggles cost some $14 to make for a custom-fit and sell for some 55 dollars. The customer acquisition cost for each dollar is marketed at $24. As of now, the company has generated over $1.5 million with a valuation of over $9 million.
2020 saw $2.2 million in sales, even with the growing concerns of the pandemic. The manufacturers decided to move to the United States because the market here is bigger and better. A few of the parts for the goggles come from China, while the assembly is done at the Charlotte plant.
Mark is the first to speak up and says that the three partners are not running a goggles company but a robotics company. He likes the overall look and feel of the product and is willing to pitch in $500,000 for 7.5 percent in the company.
Kevin and Nirav offer a joint bid of $500,000 for 5 percent shares in the company. They also want $3 in royalty for every unit sold by the company until a cumulate figure of $1.5 million is reached.
Robert is keen about the company’s prospects and offers $500,000 for 5 percent equity. Lori shows eagerness to join either of Robert or Mark and says she will bring some more sales expertise.
Robert bids for 6.5 percent in equity for an investment of $100,000. The Magic 5 accept the offer and shake hands on their deal with Robert.
