The Wheel of Wicca is a central concept in Wiccan spirituality and practice. It represents the cyclical nature of life and the changing of the seasons. The Wheel is divided into eight Sabbats, which are celebrations that mark the turning points in the year. **The main idea** behind the Wheel of Wicca is the belief in the interconnectedness and harmony of all things in the natural world. It acknowledges the rhythm of life and the cycles of birth, growth, death, and rebirth. The Wheel teaches Wiccans to attune themselves to these natural cycles and align their spiritual practices with the changing seasons.

On the other hand, oracle decks have fewer rules. There is no one way to make an oracle deck, the cards may contain messages from goddesses, famous literary witches, or self-care tips, as you will see in the seven oracle decks below. They can also contain as many cards as the creator wants. A common way to use them is to shuffle a deck and pull a single card for inspiration or insight into a situation. You can also do spreads that are similar to how many people use tarot cards.

Regardless of an artist s interpretation of a card, such as the High Priestess, the card s meaning generally stays the same from tarot deck to tarot deck to further dive into tarot, check out Allure s guide to reading tarot cards. Of these 78 cards, a tarot deck always includes 22 Major Arcana cards, or the named and numbered cards that represent larger themes and concepts, plus 56 Minor Arcana suit cards that carry specific messages and symbolism.

Witch oracle for daily insight

The Wheel teaches Wiccans to attune themselves to these natural cycles and align their spiritual practices with the changing seasons. The **eight Sabbats** of the Wheel of Wicca are widely observed by Wiccans around the world. These include the solstices, equinoxes, and the cross-quarter days in between.

Healing With The Healthy Witch Oracle Cards

Though I’m very aware that certain Tarot cards link to particular health issues and parts of the body, I’ve never really paid all that much attention to the physical side of divination in terms of health, that was until I encountered ‘The Healthy Witch Oracle Cards‘ earlier this month.

Good health is vital and allows for the proper flow of energy and better results both within life and according to TJ Perkins, the author, and creator of The Healthy Witch Oracle Cards, within “your magick”.

First published in April 2023 by Red Feather, The Healthy Witch Oracle Cards are a thirty-three-card oracle deck designed by TJ Perkins and illustrated by Jennifer Amazon.

TJ Perkins & Jennifer Amazon

The Healthy Witch Oracle cards are a calming, cute, and colourful collaborative project promoting mental and physical well-being:

TJ Perkins is a gifted and multi-award-winning author with over thirteen books currently in the mystery/ suspense, new age, and fantasy genre for young readers, teens, and adults.

Jennifer Amazon is an illustrator with a particular love for fantasy and children’s imagery – she believes that her pencil is her magic wand!

Packaging & Presentation

Packaged and presented in a stylish, sturdy, tin featuring a beautiful black apple and red writing. The Healthy Witch Oracle Cards come cased in a lovely lime green tin ideal for display, storage, and travel purposes.

The Guidebook

The Healthy Witch Oracle Cards arrive with an eighty-page, colour-printed guidebook that includes a clear contents page, an introduction, a short guide to spreads, information on the author and artist, and a double page on each and every one of the cards, identifying their meaning, relevant exercises, magical associations, and a colour picture of the card itself.

The Cards

This thirty-three-card oracle deck is printed on matt card with plain white edging, featuring lime green card cards and various watercolour-style imagery with bold green borders, and clear labelling, titling, and numbering for each card.

Reading & Working with The Healthy Witch Oracle

I’ve spent the past fortnight reading and working with The Healthy Witch Oracle Cards and whilst I’ve tried using these cards just as an Oracle deck alone, I have found that I prefer to combine them with my daily Tarot spreads as I feel they offer further information and insight to my regular readings.

I am rather fond of the cutesy, colourful imagery used in this Oracle deck though I noticed very quickly that the artist is obviously keen on mushrooms and toadstools as they seem to feature heavily throughout the cards.

Though this isn’t a deck that I feel I will use on an everyday basis, I will most certainly reach for these cards should I require further information or guidance on specific health matters and issues as the cards are very clear, concise, and easy to understand.

Shuffling Through The Healthy Witch Oracle Cards

In order to further illustrate and explain the Healthy Witch Oracle Cards I have put together a video walkthrough guide.

Purchasing & Pricing Information

The Healthy Witch Oracle Cards are available to purchase online via Schiffer for $19.99 or within the UK via Gazelle Book Services for £18.99.

To Summarise

Suitable for readers and all ages and abilities, the Healthy Witch Oracle Cards is a small but very sturdy deck focused on mental and physical health issues and matters. Whilst I admire the artwork and the intentions of this deck I feel it is very health orientated and thus is best when combined with alternative divination methods and tools such as Tarot.

In terms of which questions to ask, be sure to be as specific as possible. “The more focused you can have your question, the better,” says Marmanides. To narrow your focus, she recommends considering the situation you're asking about then really nailing down what exact insights you're hoping to gain. Let's say you went on a great date; instead of asking "Are they going to ask me out again?" ask 'Is there potential for a relationship here?' if that's what you want to know. Need ideas? For Marmanides’ weekly pull, she asks some variation of “what is the best use of my energy this week?” or “what is something I need to pay attention to?”

Each Sabbat has its own significance and rituals, but they all celebrate the changing energies of the Earth and the turning of the Wheel. Some of the most well-known Sabbats are Samhain, Imbolc, Beltane, and Lammas. **Samhain**, celebrated on October 31st, marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the colder months. It is a time to honor and remember the ancestors and to acknowledge the thinning of the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds. **Imbolc**, observed on February 2nd, celebrates the first signs of spring and the return of the light. It is a time of purification and renewal, and often involves the lighting of candles and the acknowledging of new beginnings. **Beltane**, celebrated on May 1st, marks the beginning of summer and is traditionally associated with fertility and love. It is a time to focus on growth and abundance, and is often celebrated with bonfires and dancing. **Lammas**, observed on August 1st, marks the first harvest of the year. It is a time to give thanks for the abundance of the land and to prepare for the coming autumn. Many Wiccans bake bread during this time to symbolize the fruits of their labor. The Wheel of Wicca provides a framework for Wiccans to deepen their connection to nature and to honor the changing cycles of the Earth. It reminds practitioners to live in harmony with the natural world and to embrace the rhythms of life. By celebrating the Wheel, Wiccans can cultivate a greater sense of spirituality and reverence for the Earth..
