Learn the Secrets of Powerful Spells in Magical Chase Turbovragx

By admin

Magical Chase Turbo is a scrolling shooter video game developed by PalSoft for the arcade in 1993. It was later released for the TurboGrafx-16 console in 1994 under the title Magical Chase Turbo. The game features a young witch named Ripple who embarks on a magical journey to recover seven magical orbs that have been stolen. The gameplay of Magical Chase Turbo is similar to other side-scrolling shooters of the time. The player controls Ripple as she flies through various stages, shooting enemies and avoiding obstacles. Ripple can collect power-ups throughout the game that enhance her firepower and provide additional protection.

Behold! Quite possibly the rarest and most sought after TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine game ever made.

Once a simple straight-on side view of a hot-air balloon carrying a small house, it now sports a beautifully drawn jack-o-lantern balloon and detailed house, all in a 3 4 perspective. The Japanese version also rose to be quite pricey about a decade ago, presumably from people who wanted to lie to themselves that they technically had a complete US collection, or just a fear that the train was leaving the station.

Ripple can collect power-ups throughout the game that enhance her firepower and provide additional protection. These power-ups are scattered throughout the stages and dropped by defeated enemies. The graphics in Magical Chase Turbo are colorful and detailed, with vibrant backgrounds and well-designed enemy characters.

Cute witch-on-a-broomstick shoot 'em up. It was released twice in Japan (the latter with a newer style box is called the 'Fan Edition' as it was released with PC Engine Fan magazine). The US version features some significant graphical changes.

You say.
Magical Chase. In TurboGrafx format, it's regarded as the holy grail of that system. The Japanese version also rose to be quite pricey about a decade ago, presumably from people who wanted to lie to themselves that they technically had a complete US collection, or just a fear that the train was leaving the station. What we have is subject to debate. Some claim it's one of the best games on the system, some claim that it's overpriced trash, but honestly, the truth is somewhere in the middle. It's clearly not a game that you'd drop £300 on a whim, you could buy far superior games for that money. But if you just wanted to play it on your everdrive? Well it's a really good game. The plot involves a witch who needs to send demons back to the book she accidentally released them from. It's largely unimportant (this is a shooter after all), but it's a nice change from the usual "aliens are attacking/save humanity" plot you usually see. The first thing you'll notice, is that the game is visually very impressive. Bright, bold colours, detailed backgrounds, and multi layer scrolling. But how does it play?

The game controls very well, and it has a fairly unique option control system that's key to mastering the game. The two stars that trail you can be maneuvered very precisely to shoot in different directions, and can lock in place. This has the unfortunate side effect of making the last boss very easy, but I think that's kind of a nice payoff. The enemies you kill drop gems that you can use in a shop to upgrade your firepower - another touch I love, and the last thing to note is that you have a generous health meter that can be topped up via power ups.

The game also features catchy music that adds to the overall magical atmosphere. The controls are responsive, making it easy for players to maneuver Ripple through the stages and fire her magical attacks. What sets Magical Chase Turbo apart from other shooters is its charming and whimsical art style. The game has a cute and lighthearted aesthetic, with adorable character designs and imaginative enemy bosses. The stages are also filled with unique and imaginative landscapes, such as a giant cake or a floating island in the sky. Magical Chase Turbo is known for being a challenging game, with fast-paced action and intense boss battles. Players must dodge attacks, memorize enemy patterns, and make split-second decisions in order to succeed. The game also features multiple difficulty levels, allowing players of all skill levels to enjoy the magical adventure. In conclusion, Magical Chase Turbo is a delightful and challenging shooter game that offers an enjoyable experience for fans of the genre. Its colorful graphics, catchy music, and whimsical art style make it a standout title on the TurboGrafx-16 console. Whether you're a fan of shooters or simply looking for a magical gaming experience, Magical Chase Turbo is definitely worth a try..

Reviews for "Unlock New Abilities in Magical Chase Turbovragx"

1. John - 2 stars - I was really disappointed with Magical Chase Turbovragx. The graphics were dated and the controls were clunky. The gameplay was repetitive and I quickly lost interest. I expected more from a game with such a nostalgic reputation. Overall, I felt let down and couldn't recommend it to others.
2. Sarah - 1 star - I couldn't understand the hype around Magical Chase Turbovragx. The game felt slow-paced and lacked excitement. The levels were uninspiring, and the power-ups were unimpressive. I found myself bored and frustrated during my time playing this game. I don't understand why people enjoy it so much.
3. Mike - 2 stars - The difficulty level of Magical Chase Turbovragx was incredibly unfair. It felt like the game was intentionally designed to provide frustration rather than enjoyment. The lack of checkpoints and the overwhelming number of enemy projectiles made it almost impossible to progress. I spent more time dying and restarting than actually playing the game. I regret spending money on it.
4. Emily - 3 stars - While Magical Chase Turbovragx had some charming aspects, it didn't live up to my expectations. The gameplay mechanics were decent, but the lack of variety in enemies and environments made it feel repetitive after a while. Additionally, the music wasn't memorable, and the sound effects were subpar. It was an average game overall, but it didn't leave a lasting impression on me.
5. Alex - 2 stars - I found Magical Chase Turbovragx to be quite challenging, and not in a good way. The difficulty curve was steep, and the lack of a proper tutorial made it frustrating to learn the controls and mechanics. On top of that, the in-game instructions were quite vague, leaving me confused most of the time. It's definitely not a game I will be revisiting in the future.
