Bridgton's magical past: Discovering the secrets of the magic lantern

Magic Lantern is a small village located in the town of Bridgton, Maine. It is a popular tourist destination known for its scenic beauty and charming atmosphere. Cariani writes, “ALMOST, MAINE is about one moment in time — what can happen to people in a heartbeat. In ALMOST, MAINE, that moment is 9 p.m. on a Friday night when the northern lights appear. They kind of give rise to all magical events that occur in the play.”

I also wanted to turn the romantic comedy on its ear and kind of explore love from a slightly surreal and mysterious perspectiveâ because I think that when love happens â well, being in love is one of the strangest, surrealest, and most mysterious places to be. When asked what caused him to examine love from so many different angles, Cariani said, â œI was in a production of Shakespeareâ s The Winterâ s Tale at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival about 12 years agoâ and I was always struck by how much audiences bought the craziness of the love story, how people would gasp and cry when love was lostâ and how they would gasp and cry â and then cheer.

In addition to the theater, Magic Lantern is also home to several quaint shops and boutiques. Visitors can browse through a variety of locally-made crafts, antiques, and other unique items. The village also has a number of restaurants and cafes that offer a range of cuisine options, from traditional New England fare to international dishes.

Great place all around. .. friendly staff for the theater and pub , great food and drink, great prices, and a nice atmosphere (especially with the 21 and up balcony )!!

This is one of the most beautiful theaters I have ever been to. In addition to its beauty the employees are friendly and the prices cannot be beaten.

Choose the balcony for an adult-friendly viewing experience and stop at the on-site pub to truly enjoy your time there.

If your over 21 sit in the balcony ! They will even deliver drinks. just ask in the pub before you go up!
