Salem is the county seat of Essex, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1626 by Roger Conant and incorporated three years later. In 1692, it was known as Salem Town (as opposed to Salem Village, the modern-day town of Danvers). While the initial accusations began and grew in Salem Village, the actual court proceedings took place in Salem Town. Between June and September of 1692 nineteen people were condemned at the courthouse that was located on present-day Washington Street. These individuals were ultimately hanged on Proctor’s Ledge at Gallows Hill, while a twentieth victim, Giles Corey, was pressed to death in a Salem field for refusing to stand trial. In addition, five others died in jail.

1. Jane - 1 star - I had a terrible experience at Magic Lookx Salon. The hairstylist seemed to have no idea what she was doing. She completely butchered my hair and did not listen to any of my requests. I left the salon with a lopsided and uneven haircut. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who cares about their hair.
2. Mark - 2 stars - I was extremely disappointed with the service at Magic Lookx Salon. The staff was unfriendly and appeared to be more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to their clients. Additionally, the salon was not clean and appeared to be disorganized. The overall experience was lackluster and I would not consider returning to this salon in the future.
3. Sarah - 1 star - My visit to Magic Lookx Salon left me feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. The hairstylist rushed through my haircut, barely taking the time to listen to my preferences. As a result, the final result was not at all what I had envisioned. It seemed like she just wanted to get it over with. The lack of attention to detail was evident and I left the salon feeling disappointed. I would not recommend this salon to others based on my experience.
4. Mike - 2 stars - I had high expectations for Magic Lookx Salon based on their online reviews, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. While the staff was pleasant, the quality of the haircut was subpar. The stylist appeared to lack the necessary skills and experience. The final result was a choppy and uneven haircut that I had to fix elsewhere. Overall, I was not satisfied with the services provided at this salon.
5. Lisa - 1 star - My experience at Magic Lookx Salon was a complete disaster. The hairstylist seemed inexperienced and did not have a good understanding of different hair types. She struggled to handle my curly hair and ended up causing a lot of damage. I left the salon with frizzy and fried hair, and it took months for it to recover. I would strongly advise against visiting this salon if you have curly or textured hair.
