Originally released in 2003, the transfer for this OVA is presented in its original full-frame aspect ratio. The encoding for this release eliminates the issues we had with the first volume and basically leaves us with a very clean and smooth-looking piece of work other than a few minor things here and there. During the episode, there’s some occasional aliasing where the lines start losing their smoothness and turn jagged but it’s a far cry from the first episode. Colors look good and maintain a solid feel even during the dark blacks and blues, cross coloration is pretty much a non-issue and the show is presented with the original opening and ending. At the end of it, a translated section of credits rolls as well.
The magical element is what ties it all together. The use of clever editing, misdirection, and sleight of hand creates the illusion of supernatural powers. This adds an extra layer of excitement and wonder to the raunchy clips, as viewers are left questioning how these stunts are performed.
