Awakening Self Love with the Power of Rune Magick

By admin

Self-love runes are powerful tools for cultivating self-acceptance, self-respect, and self-care. Runes are ancient symbols used in Norse and Germanic cultures for divination and spiritual guidance. Each rune carries its own unique energy and meaning, and when used with intention, can help individuals connect with their inner wisdom and tap into their own self-love. There are several runes that are particularly suited for promoting self-love and acceptance. The first rune is Ansuz, which represents communication and divine inspiration. Ansuz encourages individuals to speak their truth and honor their own unique voice.

SELF-LOVE AMONG THE 'RUNES'

Who knows what possesses a man to stand on a rock, bare his chest and bellow to the winds about his tormented soul?

Who really cares?

Though Buglisi/Foreman's "Runes of the Heart" tried mightily for meaning and portent, it never got beyond the major obstacle -- private gripes are best left to private moments.

When "Runes of the Heart" debuted in New York two years ago, it was nearly two hours long. Merciful editing has reduced it to 70 uninterrupted minutes, and it was as such that the five-member company performed it Tuesday and yesterday at the Kennedy Center's Terrace Theater. But whatever was trimmed wasn't enough to save the piece from its hopelessly self-indulgent concept.

I'm not sure how Buglisi/Foreman came to be part of this year's installment of the "America Dancing" series, joining the companies of contemporary dance masters such as Merce Cunningham, Anna Sokolow, Twyla Tharp and, coming next month, Paul Taylor. The group was founded just six years ago by Jacqulyn Buglisi and husband Donlin Foreman, two longtime principal dancers with the Martha Graham Dance Company.

Certainly Graham's work demands a place in the series lineup -- one of the nation's leading innovators in any art, Graham put a uniquely American stamp on the emerging field of modern dance, developing her own world-renowned angular technique. In her 70-year choreographic career she developed the notion of psychologically driven "dance plays" based on classical mythology and American heritage. She also spawned legions of students, several of whom became prominent choreographers in their own right. (Cunningham, Sokolow and Taylor are all former Graham dancers.)

However, on the basis of "Runes," the sole piece on their program, Buglisi and Foreman don't belong in that crew, and their work can hardly be likened to Graham's austere clarity. Elements of "Runes" were gorgeous -- the dancers were all first-rate (in addition to the two founders, the troupe includes Kevin Predmore and Graham veterans Terese Capucilli and Christine Dakin), with a beautiful sweep to their limbs and unwavering control. The mood-setting musical selections included Benjamin Britten, Leonard Bernstein, Arvo Part and traditional Celtic songs. The sunset lighting, particularly as it shadowed a rocky upstage mound, and buff-colored costumes -- Foreman and Predmore shirtless in tight trousers, the women in fluttering shreds -- were delicate and evocative.

But the choreography was often as heavy-handed and self-aggrandizing as the poetry -- that's right, pages of poetry, written and recorded by Foreman -- that accompanied the dancing. There was lots of rolling on the floor, furrowed brows, defiant hair-tossing and meaningful staring at some point just over the rear seats. At one moment, when Foreman invokes "the wolf howling alone on the hill," he and Predmore skulk around on all fours. It's not clear what it all had to do with, except that Foreman fancies himself a tortured artist, ruminating at one point: "This work, this art I took like an arrow into myself (barbs lodged beneath the bones)/ How could I know the tearing it would cause . . . " They all seemed to be stuck in a 1970s search for identity and the meaning of life. I don't know if this exercise has helped them find any answers. Either way, they can keep them to themselves. Perthro reminds us that we are not defined by our past or limited by our fears, and that there is always the potential for growth and transformation. In using self-love runes, it is essential to approach them with mindfulness and intention. Take time to connect with the energy of each rune, meditate on its meaning, and reflect on how it relates to your own journey of self-love. Reviews for "Deepening Self Love: Exploring the Mysteries of Runes"

1. John - 1 star - I was really disappointed with the "Self love runes". The messages on the runes were too generic and didn't provide any real guidance or insights for self-love. I was hoping for meaningful and profound messages that could genuinely help me on my self-love journey, but unfortunately, it felt like a waste of money.
2. Sarah - 2 stars - The "Self love runes" didn't meet my expectations. I found the quality of the runes to be subpar, with some of them easily chipping or showing signs of wear after just a few uses. Additionally, the messages on the runes felt repetitive and lacked depth. I was hoping for a more comprehensive and thought-provoking set of messages to guide me towards self-love.
3. Michael - 2 stars - I found the "Self love runes" to be quite underwhelming. The design and overall presentation of the runes were lackluster, making it hard for me to connect with them. The messages they provided were also quite vague and unhelpful. I think there are other self-help tools out there that offer a more meaningful and transformative experience.
4. Emily - 1 star - I regret purchasing the "Self love runes". The messages on the runes were incredibly cliché and didn't provide any unique insights or guidance for self-love. It felt like I could have easily received the same advice from a basic self-help book. Overall, this product just didn't deliver what it promised and I wouldn't recommend it to others.
5. David - 1 star - The "Self love runes" just didn't resonate with me. The messages felt overly simplistic and generic, lacking any real depth or practical advice for cultivating self-love. While I understand that everyone's journey is different, I didn't find these runes to be helpful or insightful in my own personal growth. It's unfortunate because I was initially excited about the concept, but it fell short of my expectations.
