Mages were freaking powerful, but they had almost no hitpoints, any damage interrupted a spell and it was lost forever, spells took a looooong time to memorize. I know this simply blows spell complexity through the roof, but I mean, wouldn t that be so awesome if Paizo really went all in with multi-action spell casting.
