One by one, the villagers offered their assistance, helping the witch to her feet and dusting off her robes. Some went to search for her broken broomstick and tried to mend it, while others helped her back to her cottage, carrying her on their shoulders as a sign of goodwill. Unbeknownst to the villagers, the witch had planned this crash all along. She saw an opportunity to manipulate their emotions and exploit their innate goodness. Although she was known for her mischievous acts, the witch was also a master of manipulation, using her wiles to get what she desired. Days passed, and the witch recovered from her "injuries."
