The Bell Witch is a supernatural entity associated with the Bell family of Adams, Tennessee, in the early 19th century. The haunting began in 1817 when John Bell encountered an unusual creature in his cornfield. After this initial encounter, the haunting escalated, with the family experiencing a range of paranormal phenomena including physical attacks, mysterious noises, and disembodied voices. The entity, known as the Bell Witch, seemed to have a particular aversion to John Bell and his daughter, Betsy. The Bell Witch was known for its ability to communicate through various means, including speaking in multiple voices and quoting passages from the Bible. It claimed to be the spirit of a former neighbor named Kate Batts, who had a grudge against John Bell.
BELL WITCH Announces North American Tour
Bell Witch just released their new one-song album Future's Shadow Part 1: The Clandestine Gate on April 21, and now they've got a North American tour to support it. "We can't wait to be on tour performing The Clandestine Gate and for this piece to further blossom in the live arena," said bassist Dylan Desmond of the tour.
