By admin

Magic Bullet Looks is a popular video editing plugin that offers a wide range of creative tools and presets for enhancing the visual appearance of your footage. Whether you're a professional filmmaker or a hobbyist video editor, this plugin provides a simple and effective way to give your videos a professional and polished look. When it comes to pricing, Magic Bullet Looks offers a fair and competitive price tag. The plugin is available for purchase as a standalone product or as part of the Magic Bullet Suite, which includes several other powerful plugins for color correction, film emulation, and more. As of the time of writing, the standalone version of Magic Bullet Looks can be purchased for $399. This includes a perpetual license, meaning you can use the plugin indefinitely without any recurring fees.

From what I've seen, Looks 2.0 is not that much of an upgrade from the original (Movie Looks HD is technically v.1.0.)
I certainly wouldn't fork out that kind of cash for something I can work around with my 32-bit Vegas. for free.

There is also a new Saturation EQ system, which makes it possible to adjust colour saturation across different bands of lightness or saturation in foorage. I m really glad you re happy, but - as someone already said - there is not much in MB Looks that I couldn t do in Vegas itself, and with its own OFX es Vegas preview vegas is much faster.

Red Giant releases Magic Bullet Suite 14.0

Originally posted on 18 November 2020. Scroll down for updates. Red Giant has released Magic Bullet Suite 14.0, the first major update to its suite of colour grading tools for After Effects and Premiere Pro in over four years. The Looks plugin gets a new LUT browser, Channel Mixer and interesting Color Remap and Huenity tools; while the Colorista plugin gets new LUT and presets browsers, and a revamped render engine for HDR work. However, the updated plugins do not currently support Apple’s Final Cut Pro X or Motion, following changes made by Apple in macOS 11.0 Big Sur, and in the apps themselves. Updated 8 February: Red Giant has released a free maintenance update, Magic Bullet Suite 14.0.3, that restores support for FCP X, Motion and macOS 11.0 in the updated tools.

Looks 5.0: new Color Remap, Huenity and Channel Mixer tools,
The update is the first to Magic Bullet Suite for some time, version 13.0 having shipped in 2016. Color correction tool Looks gets the longest list of changes, with Magic Bullet Looks 5.0 featuring a set of new utility and colour editing tools. They include Color Remap, which Red Giant describes as a “first of its kind”, enabling users to map any colour to any other in footage, seeing the results in a 3D colour cube. Suggested uses include conforming shots to colour charts, or matching them to palettes supplied by a client. The other major new tool is Huenity, with simplifies the colour palette of footage it is applied to by unifying similar hues, particularly for skin tones. You can see the workflow for both tools in the video above, with the section on Huenity starting at 14:30 and the section on Color Remap starting around 20:30. More conventional tools include a new Channel Mixer, which makes it possible to feed information from one colour channel into the output of another: for example, to correct colour casts. The update also introduces a self-descriptive new LUT Browser and Preset Search system.

Colorista 5.0: new HDR grading engine
The Colorista plugin also gets a sizeable update, with Colorista 5.0 revamping its render engine for HDR grading work. The update introduces new Highlight and Shadow Region controls, a new Clarity control, and a new Highlight Boost control for converting standard footage to HDR. There is also a new Saturation EQ system, which makes it possible to adjust colour saturation across “different ‘bands’ of lightness or saturation” in foorage. As with Looks, Colorista also gets new LUT Browser and Preset Browser. No support for Apple’s Final Cut Pro or Motion yet
At the time of writing, neither of the updated plugins are compatible with Apple’s Final Cut Pro or Motion, both previously supported in Magic Bullet Suite. Red Giant puts this down to changes made in macOS 11.0 Big Sur, rolled out last week, and to the apps themselves, both of which have moved to Apple’s new Universal platform, enabling them to run both on older Intel Macs and Apple’s new M1 chips. The firm says that it is “working with Apple to resolve the issue”. Updated 8 February: Support for FCP X and macOS 11.0 has been restored in Magic Bullet Suite 14.0.3. The other plugins in the Suite – colour correction tools Mojo and Film; Renoiser and sister app Denoiser; and skin-editing tool Cosmo – haven’t been updated this time around. Pricing and system requirements
Magic Bullet Suite 14.0 is available now. The price is up $100 since the previous release, to $999. It also no longer seems to be possible to buy the plugins individually: we’ve contacted Red Giant to check. Updated: Plugins are no longer available individually. If you have an existing individual licence, upgrade pricing is available, but you will need to contact the sales team at Maxon, Red Giant’s parent company. All of the suite’s component tools are compatible with After Effects 2017+ and Premiere Pro 2017+ on both Windows and Mac OS X. Individual tools are also compatible with DaVinci Resolve, HitFilm, Media Composer and Vegas Pro. For a complete list of compatible versions, visit the product website.

Reviews for "Exploring the Price-to-Performance Ratio of Magic Bullet Looks"

1. John - 2/5 stars: I was really disappointed with the price tag for Magic Bullet Looks. While the effects and filters it offers are decent, I felt like I was being gouged for the privilege of using them. There are plenty of other color grading plugins out there that are just as good, if not better, and at a much more affordable price. I can't justify spending so much money on something that I can get for a fraction of the cost elsewhere.
2. Sarah - 1/5 stars: The price for Magic Bullet Looks is absolutely absurd. I was excited to try it out after hearing about all the amazing effects it can create, but when I saw the price tag, I was taken aback. It's just not worth the money when there are so many other options available at a fraction of the cost. I would highly recommend looking for cheaper alternatives before wasting your money on this overpriced plugin.
3. Mike - 2/5 stars: I had high hopes for Magic Bullet Looks, but I found it to be underwhelming and not worth the price. The effects it offers are decent, but I expected more for the amount of money I paid. Additionally, the user interface is clunky and difficult to navigate, making it a frustrating experience overall. Save your money and look for other color grading plugins that offer better value for your hard-earned cash.
4. Laura - 1/5 stars: I regret purchasing Magic Bullet Looks due to its exorbitant price. The effects are nothing extraordinary, and you can find similar or even better options at a significantly lower cost. I felt like I was being taken advantage of as a consumer. Don't make the same mistake I did and consider cheaper alternatives that will give you the same results without breaking the bank.
