The Magic of Litha: 10 Wiccan Celebrations on the Summer Solstice

By admin

Wicca is a modern pagan religion that celebrates nature and the cycles of the seasons. The summer solstice, also known as Midsummer or Litha, is a significant day for Wiccans. On this day, the sun reaches its highest point in the sky, marking the longest day and the shortest night of the year. It is a time of celebration and gratitude for the abundance of the earth and the warmth of the sun. Here are 10 Wiccan celebrations that take place on the day of the summer solstice: 1. **Bonfires**: Wiccans light bonfires to symbolize the power of the sun and to honor the element of fire.

So the next few blog post that go up within the next couple of weeks(including this one) is being posted later than usual. A couple of weeks ago my area got hit hard by a Nor'easter and we lost power for 4 days. Which means that was 4, 8-12 hour swatch days that I lost and I am still playing catch up on. Due to this in order to attempt to get photos to makers by release dates I was unable to also do videos, so unfortunately there is no video for this months LBH Box. Sorry guys! Please bare with me while I attempt to get my schedule back to its normal structure and routine, Thanks!💜

*All Magnetic Particles in a polish disperses over time, in my experience 9 times out of 10 I am unable to keep a thin, crisp line to stay put (unless using a gel magnetic polish); my photos are shown with a 20+ minute dry time so the magnetic line may seem more crisp then if I were to have kept the polish on for longer.

Inspired by the Goosebumps book, It Came From Beneath the Sink. Described as a black jelly filled with shimmers, holographic glitter of different sizes, colors, and shapes, and iridescent flakies.

Shown here in 3 coats, plus top coat. Formula was sheer but built up well. Dries with some texture so a top coat is needed for a full, glossy finish.

Reviews for "Connecting with the Pagan Roots of Midsummer: 10 Wiccan Traditions for the Summer Solstice"

1. John - 1 star
As someone who is not a practicing Wiccan, I found "10 Wiccan Celebrations on the Day of the Summer Solstice" to be extremely uninteresting and irrelevant to my life. The author failed to provide any real substance or insight into Wiccan celebrations, and instead just listed off various celebrations without any context or explanation. It felt like a lazy attempt to cash in on a trendy topic without adding any value or depth to the discussion. I would not recommend this book to anyone looking for a meaningful exploration of Wiccan celebrations.
2. Sarah - 2 stars
While I appreciate the author's effort to shed light on Wiccan celebrations during the summer solstice, I found "10 Wiccan Celebrations on the Day of the Summer Solstice" to be lacking in research and depth. The information provided felt surface-level and didn't provide a comprehensive understanding of the traditions and rituals involved in these celebrations. Additionally, the writing style was dry and didn't engage me as a reader. I was left with more questions than answers after reading this book. I would recommend seeking a more thorough resource on Wiccan celebrations if you're truly interested in learning about this topic.
3. Emily - 2 stars
As someone who was hoping to learn more about Wiccan celebrations, I was disappointed with "10 Wiccan Celebrations on the Day of the Summer Solstice." The book provided a mere overview of the celebrations without delving into the rich history and symbolism behind them. It read more like a listicle rather than an informative guide. I would have also appreciated more personal insights or anecdotes from practitioners to make the content more relatable and engaging. Overall, this book lacks substance and depth, making it difficult to recommend it as a valuable resource for understanding Wiccan celebrations.
