I returned to Graves Glen in The Kiss Curse and I loved it! The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling is a spin-off to The Ex Hex and follows Gwyn and Wells.

I loved The Ex Hex so I smashed that request button on NetGalley when this sequel popped up.
What is this book about?
Rhys’ brother Wells and Vivi’s cousin Gwyn trade punches and kisses when Wells travels from Wales to monitor the new magic situation in Graves Glen and opens a magic shop across the street from Gwyn’s store, Something Wicked. Gwyn and Wells slowly fall in love, but as they do, Gwyn’s magic seems to be…malfunctioning. They work together to find out what’s going on and it’s more complicated than the hex they had to clear in the first book!
What is notable about the story?
A twist so great you’ll experience it twice. Erin Sterling got me, I have to admit it. I was convinced I knew what was going on in terms of who was working against Gwyn, but then it seemed like everything was okay, but then Sterling hit me across the face with a two-by-four and I was like “tough but fair” because I shouldn’t have let my guard down.
Also, this book has a lot of foreplay and not a lot of sex until the last 20% or so, when Gwyn and Wells have some pretty interesting scenes together. I appreciate the break from the traditional, but I did wish I didn’t have to wait as long as I did, even though it did end up being worth it.
Was anything not so great?
- I had to wait too long for the sex scenes.
That’s it. That’s the list. Everything else was adorable, passionate, and I’ll take a funny talking cat any day of the week.
What’s the verdict?
4 stars on Goodreads and like The Ex Hex this would make a perfect beach read. It’s a fast, fun read that keeps you guessing all the way. Definitely pick it up along with The Ex Hex if you haven’t already. Enjoy!

1. Mary - 1 star - I was really disappointed with the Red magic charging dock. First of all, it felt very flimsy and cheaply made. The plastic material used felt like it could break easily. Secondly, the dock did not adequately secure my phone in place. It often slipped out, which defeats the purpose of having a charging dock. Lastly, the charging speed was incredibly slow. It took forever for my phone to fully charge. Overall, I would not recommend this charging dock as it does not live up to its promises.
2. John - 2 stars - The Red magic charging dock was a letdown for me. The design is not user-friendly, as it is difficult to place the phone properly on the dock. The alignment is finicky and it takes a few tries to get the phone to charge. Additionally, the dock itself does not stay in place. Whenever I tried to remove my phone, the whole dock would lift up, which was frustrating. Lastly, the charging speed was average at best. I expected a faster charging experience, but it wasn't any better than using a regular charging cable. I would suggest looking for other options before considering this charging dock.
3. Sarah - 2 stars - I had high hopes for the Red magic charging dock, but it fell short of my expectations. The build quality is subpar, with the material feeling cheap and easily breakable. The dock also doesn't provide a stable base for my phone, leading to frequent slips and falls. Moreover, the charging speed is quite slow compared to other charging docks I have used. The lack of any additional features, such as fast charging or wireless charging, makes this dock feel like a wasted purchase. I regret buying it and would not recommend it to others.
