Wayne Shorter is an accomplished American jazz saxophonist and composer. Born on August 25, 1933, in Newark, New Jersey, Shorter has had a prolific career spanning over six decades. He is considered one of the most influential and innovative jazz musicians of all time. Shorter first gained prominence in the 1960s as a member of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers and then joined the Miles Davis Quintet in 1964. His contributions to Davis' albums such as "E.S.
